Orange Carrot Mango Smoothie-Another 'Green' Drink

This orange 'green' smoothie is really refreshing. It is healthy, portable, easy to make and ideal for a quick, nutritious breakfast. It is also the perfect snack or dessert. This smoothie provides a powerful punch of vitamins and minerals. The mango and orange give it a tropical flavor. Bean loves this smoothie, probably because it is so sweet!

Carrots are a great nutritional ingredient and can be used in many smoothie recipes. They have a slightly sweet flavor and it is complemented by many fruits.  Carrots are rich in beta carotene, they also include vitamins C, B3, B6, E and K as well as minerals such as iron, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and potassium. They add lots of FIBER, which is one of my favorite things.
I hope you enjoy this new smoothie as much as we do.

Orange Carrot Mango Smoothie

1 orange
2 clementines
2 ounces of orange juice
2-4 medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped (start with 2, gradually add more to taste)
3 ounces carrot juice (optional: can substitute with orange juice)
3/4 cup chopped mango, fresh or frozen

This makes for a very thick drink.  Add more orange juice if you want a sweeter, thinner drink.

H, how did I not know about this blog??? This is awesome. I can't wait to try your recipes. We are big green smoothie drinkers over here, I am married to my Vitamix, but I am always looking for new ideas. Thanks for sharing this!

S, I'll be posting more 'green' smoothie recipes in the future. I'm glad your family likes them. They are so healthy.

I keep forgetting to take a picture and WRITE down the amount of ingredients, instead of throwing it all in the blender.

I'd love to try it, but what "machine" do you need to make it? Dumb hey? BTW been saving tons of your recipes, what a great blog, and to think that I was Goggling Bouquet of daisies pictures when I stumbled on a picture that surely wasn't one, it looked either like stuffed green pepper / cheese clicked to find out what was what and Yahoooo found your blog talk about a lucky day
